TOOL CRIB MANAGEMENT PROCESS

1. An automated storage compactor will be provided at the tool crib room to store the tools category vise.
2. A fixed reader is placed at the counter window to scan the RFID tag and issue it to a specific person.
3. Issued tools at stage 1 kept in the trolley will be scanned by the hand-held reader and then carried away to the maintenance site. In stage 2 the trolley is again scanned by hand handheld reader such that it can identify if any tools went missing on the way.
4. Once the repair of the aircraft is complete, the handheld reader will scan the RFID-tagged tools placed in the trolley and will give the exact number of tools present in the trolley. It will also provide you the information on the missing tool if any.
5. A fixed reader placed at the counter window will again scan the RFID-tagged tools to ensure the count of the inventory once the tools are back in the tool crib room.
